Ireland was the first European country I ever visited. In 2004 my sister and I went over with essentially no itinerary and reservations for only 3 of the ten nights we were to be there. I fell in love immediately and have been back several times since. I often tell people that if you go to Ireland you should spend at least two days in Dublin, then visit Ireland. My favorite parts of Ireland that I have been to are the Atlantic coast and Connemara. I've not been to Wicklow and the Southeast of the Republic yet, but I hope to remedy that soon.
